About This Place

This space is for reflection, discussion, preaching helps, sharing of liturgical ideas, and support.  It is an extension of the Methoblogger community, and all Methobloggers are welcome to participate.

The rules are simple:

  1. To join the group, please contact me and I’ll be happy to add you as a blogger here.
  2.  Respectful dialog only.  Do not attack anyone based upon their theological perspectives, no matter how different from yours.
  3. The lectionary can (and should) be engaged critically.  Think the missing verses should be added back in?  Think the pericope should begin sooner or end later?  Do the OPEG make sense together at all?  Say so!
  4. Enjoy yourself!

Wow. I just checked to see when the last post was, and it was mine from July 10. I don’t harbor any illusions that people check this blog for me; I know they’re here for Internet superstar A Man Named Preach. However, I thought I was doing better than this. Will, maybe we need to discuss this at the district picnic. To perhaps tide you over, I’ll include an condensed exegesis on last week’s gospel lection: Jesus acted like a jerk and was schooled. More to come.
